A year and a pair of lobes later

They actually managed to grow another pair of new lobes over the winter. Even though they had only got their first pair of lobes last summer.

I kept them almost completely dry during their first winter and only sprayed a little water if they looked too devastated. During the winter months they shed their first pair of real lobes and on the pictures below it is only visible as the dried out hull surrounding the new lobes of this year.

The red lines are still there but the texture that could be seen last summer is gone. Now they are smooth.
