First pics of Lithops helmutii

Lithops helmutii C271. It's always nice to have such specific seeds. Then one knows what to expect and which signs to look for... but for now they have just germinated and look almost like every other Lithops seedling.

They have germinated in such large numbers that I almost expect many of them to die during the next few weeks... usually that is a sign for problematic seedlings. Then the plants react by growing very germination-friendly (or however one might call that) seeds to make up for the immense loss of seedlings during the first weeks... Well, we will see.
