My Faucarias are still blooming. The biggest one at least. It is really impressive how long it can keep a flower bud alive and wait for the right moment. The last bud (at least I think it is the last one, unless there are more hidden somewhere...) has been there for weeks and today it finally started to open because for the first time in days we had a really sunny day.
On Halloween the last three flowers were still fresh and beautiful.

The one in the background has dried up by now and the other two are on their best way there, too. But there were more flower buds still waiting and interestingly one of the flowers got some curls now...

This Faucaria (my star... the one that blossomed the first time at the delicate age of 1 3/4 years) has got quite the determination. I thought it would let quite a few of its flower buds dry out without opening them. But no, it has its own mind and it wants to blossom... so it does.
